The Scholastic website @ http://www2.scholastic.com/browse/home.jsp is a wonderful website designed for students, parents, and teachers. This website contains reading lesson plans created for student's prekindergarten through twelfth grade. This website a contains numerous resources including reading pintables that could be used in a classroom. I would highly recommend this website for students, parents and teachers.

Scholastic is a great resource for teachers, and their website for Interactive White boards is very informational. This resource contains interactive lessons, graphic organizers, proofreading lessons, writing lessons, strategies, ideas, a shop, and so much more!

Earth Day Activities for Grades 1-3...Great lesson plans and digital story book!

This is another website that is part accessible for free, but there is a pay option to take advantage of the rest ($ per year). Scholastic offers lesson plans, worksheets, mini books, a whole section of "computer lab favorites" with learning activities students can do on the computer in 30 minutes or less, videos, a class homepage builder, and more. Building a whole unit (any subject) is made easy with the resources available on this site. There is even a special section for new teachers!

This website is a great site for teachers to check book levels and find books and their levels. I love this site because I can always go here and put a book title in and find the lexile level of it.

My 35 Favorite Free Apps for Teaching Schools around the country are undergoing a digital transformation. With iPads and tablets showing up in classrooms with greater frequency, trying to figure out which apps to use can leave a teacher's head spinning.

This resource is excellent for K-6 Writing/Language Arts teachers. Teachers or students can spin four different wheels which will result in an interesting combination of four different plot elements that can be used to create a story.

Best for finding current events.
