An alternative to MovieMaker and iMovie. Might be easier for students who don't have access to either programs at home. After playing with this for a bit, I find it to be more useful than Animoto because users can do more. Instead o just plugging things in, you actually get to play around a bit more.

This is a very well, designed and user friendly classroom blogging tool. I have been using it with my fifth graders and it is working very well. I can review all of the content before allowing it to be posted. I can make comments and mark errors and re-submit it to the student to be corrected. I can even pull up a blog as an example and edit it in front of the class without telling them whose blog it is. Pretty cool :-)

This page documents ways to use productivity tools in the media center, gives the 5 most used productivity tools, and lots "more to explore" at the bottom of the page.
  • Other benefits of online productivity tools would have to include the fact that work can be authored and edited by multiple people from their own computers, accessed from home or from school, and stored, shared and published online.

The fact that many of these tools can be accessed from anywhere is a plus for students.

""i Tell a Story" allows children to narrate and record their stories. But as a complete audio recording and editing tool, there are countless other uses, such as having adults record stories and messages for the little ones in their lives to listen to. Add funny sounds and music if you want, plus a picture, title, and your name, and send your audio book"

Load a web page or an image--text page works also--and then select areas of the screen, comment box opens with your name, and insert comments to share with teammates or colleagues. Very easy to use.

This site provides many applications for pictures or video such as edit, download, add, and design. The site also offers lessons for students to acquire skills. This is useful when the student is using the site to design and add three-dimensional effects of the classroom that help students visualize the environment and their effects through the image to develop the sensory side of the student. The student can also download images on the site and engage with other students, teachers, and parents.
