Virtual Fieldtrips and Scavenger Hunts - 0 views

  •
This middle school gives great resources for virtual fieldtrips and scavenger hunts that you can do with your students. We all know that budget cuts have limited the ability for students to participate in really neat fieldtrips. Well, these sites offer a virtual tour with the same information, videos, and pictures. The best part is they are free!

Also recognizes other categories such as best mobile app, free web tool, most influential blog post, educational wiki, open PD/webinar series, and use of a social network. This website is AMAZING. It has clip-art, photographs, presentation images, maps, lessons, and answers to tech questions. There are so many images available, they are free (up to a certain amount, but it is very generous), it tells you exactly how to cite them, and it has options for file size and format. It took some clicking/digging around, but this is what led me to this site: FL DOE - Educators button at top - Curriculum, Instruction, Student Services - Instruction & Curriculum - Instructional Technology - Educational Technology Clearinghouse

eInstruction Workspace (comes with the Mobi, but I use it all the time instead of PowerPoint) Livescribe Desktop (free, but without the pen there isn't much you can do) Animationish (not free, but the most fun art animation program I have ever seen!) Hyperstudio5 (not free, but worth the minimum price - much more creative than PPT!)
