This middle school gives great resources for virtual fieldtrips and scavenger hunts that you can do with your students. We all know that budget cuts have limited the ability for students to participate in really neat fieldtrips. Well, these sites offer a virtual tour with the same information, videos, and pictures. The best part is they are free!

Edublog Awards Winners 2011. Lists winner and several runners up for various student, teacher, class, library, ed tech, and administrator blogs. Also recognizes other categories such as best mobile app, free web tool, most influential blog post, educational wiki, open PD/webinar series, and use of a social network. I would recommend using this page for resources and ideas for creating your own educational blog.

Create interactive lessons for mobile devices or use free or paid content. Great way to push out a lesson to iPads or other tablets. I have been using this for over a year with great success. Excellent reporting and metrics features.

If you have tablets in your classroom this is a great way to create interactive lessons that students can view on their tablets. You can also purchase remade lessons.

Great website for educators to access royalty free clip art, lesson plans, clip media, and presentations.

This website is AMAZING. It has clip-art, photographs, presentation images, maps, lessons, and answers to tech questions. There are so many images available, they are free (up to a certain amount, but it is very generous), it tells you exactly how to cite them, and it has options for file size and format. Art Babble is a video website designed and maintained by the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The purpose of Art Babble is to provide a place for people to learn about the creation of art, artists, and collections through quality video productions. Visitors to Art Babble will find videos related to many forms of and formats for art.

This site links to electronic resources, including a site with free images for educational use and a site with all types of historical and current maps available.

The Florida Center for Instructional Technology is located at USF and is funded by the Florida Department of Education.  It provides links to numerous educational technology resources.

The Florida Center for Instructional Technology (FCIT) provides leadership, instructional materials, and support services to educational institutions with regard to the integration of technology into K-20 education. Has thousands of royalty-free clipart and images.

I really like the resources for presentations and technology incorporation in the classroom in the Educational Technology Clearinghouse section of the site.

Great resource for no cost "free to use" digital images. I've used this site in several projects for the program and while they don't have EVERYTHING, they've got quite a bit.

This website is a great place to get free worksheets. There is a quick link to quickworksheets.net that will take you to a site that you can produce your own worksheets according to what you are teaching.

Over 170,000 videos available since the 1980s that have aired on C-SPAN. They are also share=able and free. What a great resource for middle and upper grade found through the FDOE website
