Cool Math 4 Kids has cool math lessons, cool math games and fun activities. We have free online flash cards to print out, cool math practice games, online calculators and lessons for addition, subtraction, times tables, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and more. Great site but it does have a lot of advertisements on it!

Cool math.com @ http://www.coolmath.com/ is a wonderful website for finding lesson plans for any age student. This website is designed for students, parents, and teachers. It has games, lesson plans, teaching strategies, teaching segments, and different types of calculators. This website also provides a large variety of math problems in areas such as: adding, subtracting, dividing, decimals, algebra and geometry.

Cool site for animated stories to share with the class. There are fiction and non-fiction. This site is unique because it keeps the stories short and to-the-point. User's can click on different links like "cool software" related to the story.

This blog is by Florida's Department of Education commissioner Gerard Robinson. This blog cover topic within the field of education that over topics on variety of thing such as FCAT, Parental Involvement, School Choice, Science, Involvement and Education tips for at home. It's a cool way to get a feel of what the commissioner is thinking and finds important to share with others about the field of education.

The mission of The Why Files is to explore the science, math and technology behind the news of the day, and to present those topics in a clear, accessible and accurate manner.The Why Files produces a new story each week, alternating longer features with shorter shorties. The website also posts a series of interactive science animations and the ever-popular "Cool Science Images," a series of Teacher Activity Pages linked to the national science teaching standards, The Weather Guys, and Curiosities. I think this is a cool resource!

cool website to have students learn words and build their vocabulary. I can see language art or reading teachers having their student use this website as additional practice.

This is a great site with many kid friendly games. Most of the games have some correlation to math related topics. I find it best to preselect which games the students should play so as to enhance the lessons to be learned or alredy learned.

Great website for all ages and grades. This website offers free educational games in all subject areas. In addition, this website offers brain teasers, organized by grade.

This website takes making PowerPoint presentations to a whole new level. Presentations can be created online and accessed anywhere there is a connection to the internet. Teachers can create a free account and set it to private if they wish. This is a great resource for not only presentations but creating digital storytelling

Thanks Tonga! I plan to use Prezi for the first time this weekend for one of my other courses. I like how a lot of resources out there are allowing users to save on their sites so that we don't have to carry our flashdrives around all the time and so others can collaborate with us! (Just realized this was a post from last semester...oops!)

This is a very well, designed and user friendly classroom blogging tool. I have been using it with my fifth graders and it is working very well. I can review all of the content before allowing it to be posted. I can make comments and mark errors and re-submit it to the student to be corrected. I can even pull up a blog as an example and edit it in front of the class without telling them whose blog it is. Pretty cool :-)

Unfortunately this site is only free for 14 day trial. The minimum price is $9.00/month. The cool about this site is that you can create animation. It is an animation site to create movie, stories. It is simple to use by dragging the cartoon from the tool box. this can be used with students to create digital stories.
