Pedagogical research on Web-based learning and instruction has not kept pace with the proliferation of Web-based courses offered by colleges and universities. Consequently, we encourage the application of the "Seven Principles of Good Practice in Undergraduate Education" (American Association of Higher Education, 1987) to guide the design and implementation of Web-based courses.

This article is dated, but was intriguing to read as it shows the shift in teaching practices as more minority students are in classrooms. Collaboration between UCF College of Education Professors and students and Midway Elementary in Seminole County.

Dr. Gina Gresham is a Professor in the University of Central Florida's College of Education and Human Performance. This study is based on Dr. Gresham's work with exceptional education teachers getting an elementary education (K-6) endorsement.

The Common Core State Standards provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so teachers and parents know what they need to do to help them. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers.

With a highly competitive job market that is likely to be the norm for years to come, students may well need a broad range of technology-based skills in order to be prepared for the workforce. By honing those skills in K-12 settings, youngsters should be better equipped for college and beyond.

Extensive collection of annotated links related to using Twitter effectively. There are numerous resources for general users, but there are many educator-specific articles as well.

This is an awesome website with short (and free!) videos to help teach all types of math from 1st - college and some higher level sciences. It's great for those days when the kids don't want to listen to your voice anymore.

Great video library for tutoring and support on a wide variety of subjects from math to science to art history.

Great website for educators to access royalty free clip art, lesson plans, clip media, and presentations.

This website is AMAZING. It has clip-art, photographs, presentation images, maps, lessons, and answers to tech questions. There are so many images available, they are free (up to a certain amount, but it is very generous), it tells you exactly how to cite them, and it has options for file size and format.
