Intel® Teachhelps K-12 teachers of all subjects engage students with digital learning, including digital content, Web 2.0, social networking, and online tools and resources. Intel Teach professional development empowers teachers to integrate technology effectively into their existing curriculum, focusing on their students' problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration, which are precisely the skills required in the high tech, networked society in which we live.

While the Florida Department of Education does not officially endorse any specific technology standards or models of teaching with technology, the resources provided are made available to assist educators and administrators with the facilitation of technology integration into classrooms, schools, and school districts.

In the article, it states that, "teachers of social studies content are less likely than teachers of other content areas to utilize technology in their classroom." This research study (carried out by a UCF faculty member) focuses on how a technology coordinators' beliefs towards technology, instruction, and students impacted how technology was used during a technology-enriched project with a group of fourth grade students. It was found that the coordinator's beliefs did in fact directly impact how technology was used.

PBS Learning Media Home Page has a number of multimedia activities and ideas for lessons. There are some great, short videos explaining definitions as well. The site can be searched by standard, subject or as a whole.

Discovery Education has terrific resources that is linked to the current textbook that your county may be using for it's curriculum. User friendly and the United streaming is also helpful when planning lessons with the library of video segments.
