Google Body - Amazing Simulation - 0 views

  •
This is an amazing virtual anatomy system. 3-dimensional views of all human organ systems. Zoom through the body . Use the label layer to learn anatomical vocabulary. Stunning graphics. A free virtual tour of the body. This is a beta offering. You need a Web browser that supports WebGL. This means Google Chrome or Firefox 4 beta. Well worth installing a new browser if you haven't already done so.

Internet Explorer 9 arrives - 0 views

Firefox 4 BETA is pretty cool. But if you are bound by certain departmental, political or operational constraints, or if you don't know any better, you will probably have to use Internet Explorer (IE). Well the good news is that IE9 is actually very good. The similarities to Firefox do feature prominently, but don't take my word for it - this video will showcase the new features.

    • Leon Cych

What about more distributed less country centric models of employment and I don't mean call centres i.e. web 2.0 new startups that employ people globally? Like Seesmic , for instance - any figures/ evidence on those?

      Dospersed or distributed?
  • ICT was most frequently used for learning in those enterprises with flatter hierarchies and more devolved decision talking responsibilities and in which employees had greater autonomy in the organisation of their own work. Interestingly, these enterprises also tended to have a more experienced workforce and low turnover of employees

    • Leon Cych

Might be worth exploring this more - why - what are the causes of the hostility or is it merely dependency on outmoded systems rather than hostility - a reluctance to engage with cultural change due to being institutionalised - dunno...
