It's kind of like Skype but it's more for educational use. I was thinking about using this tool in my classroom and perhaps videoconferencing with my sister and mom who are also elementary music teachers. Maybe I could set it up so that we co-teach a lesson on music together, or maybe sing a duet with the other classroom of music students using the videoconferencing. It'd be fun for the kids to see other kids in music that are all the way in the southwest corner of the United States, since my sister teaches in Arizona. This would be something I'd definitely think about using.

The Treasure Hunt consists of about 12 questions that require the student to research the penguin information on the Sea World website, so that they can find the correct answers for the Treasure Hunt. If the student scores well enough on the Treasure Hunt questions, they might be inducted into the "Explorer's Hall of Fame." The Treasure Hunt is just a fun way to get the students motivated to learn and read through the information about penguins. The combination of these two websites gives students the opportunity to learn about penguins in an exciting hunt for penguin facts.

This website enables my students to search the world, either by continent, country, or city. For example, if we were studying Spain in my classroom, I could have my students each have an assigned "site to see" from Spain and they could go here, look up all the information about it, get a picture, and see where on the map it is located. For me, this would be extremely helpful in a Geography classroom, or in a Language classroom when studying cultures or places in the world that are famous. This site could also be very helpful if a person was planning a trip to a foreign country, or city/town.

I feel like this would be very good to use as a resource in my classroom. As a middle school math teacher, I will be using a lot of algebra in my class. Fact Monster has a lot of really cool links, and one of them is the United States. On there you can find out tons of facts on each state. Another neat thing on factmonster.com is that it will ask you if you are a boy or girl, and then what grade you are in. Once it ask you, a random fact will pop up for the internet surfer to read.

The site has a timeline of art history, information on different artists, and different art styles. In my classroom, I could take the whole class to computer lab and teach them about different styles of art in art history. I could then have them each try to duplicate one of the styles. They could also look at some of the famous artwork and artist as an inspiration.

This is a website where children can review what nouns are. There is also a place to go for learning Proper nouns, concrete and abstract nouns, but I would only use this site as a way for students to review and have fun.

This website would work in a third grade classroom perfect. I think that it would work perfect because it is very easily to access. It is also very easy to use because all the lessons are setup for you and ready to use. The materials that are in this website are perfect for this age group. Some of the categories are: Art, Famous Explorers, Library skills, and math mathematics I would work them into my lesson by asking the kids to take turns reading what's on the overhead and then we would stop to talk about what we learned. We would also have quizzes after our PowerPoint presentation on what we talked about.
