Smarthistory: a multimedia web-book about art and art history - 0 views

  •
The site has a timeline of art history, information on different artists, and different art styles. In my classroom, I could take the whole class to computer lab and teach them about different styles of art in art history. I could then have them each try to duplicate one of the styles. They could also look at some of the famous artwork and artist as an inspiration.

The site places an emphasis on active learning that they hope will strengthen skill development (technology, research, historiography, communication). The end of year the students produce a substantial final project.
