The site has a timeline of art history, information on different artists, and different art styles. In my classroom, I could take the whole class to computer lab and teach them about different styles of art in art history. I could then have them each try to duplicate one of the styles. They could also look at some of the famous artwork and artist as an inspiration.

it is based on physical education games for all ages and people. You can find it at mrgym.com and when you go to it there will be someone like a narrorator on the website, so that was pretty cool
Art can be inspired from anything, sometimes having art, a story, and music work together is another form of art. The above mentioned website contains games for children in art classes that have good examples for the combination of the formerly mentioned subjects. Some of the games have animation that flows with the background music with it. This shows how art can be used to follow or show music in a visual form. This way students can better understand the relations between the art and music.

At this site, the kids will be able to practice skills, enrich their skills, and review. Once you enter the website, there are various "treetures" that you can click on. If you click on Mama Greenleaf, she will go through all of the leaves with you. When the student put's their mouse over the solid leaves, they change to real life pictures. The kids can learn facts about the leaves here. The site helps students review the three types of leaves in which they are learning about (simple, compound, and conifer). There is even a quiz that they can take. I'm using this website because it lets the students to learn/review at their own pace and not feel pressured. The parent's could also assist the students to discover the other areas of interests on this site such as twigs, branches, forests, planting trees, etc.

The K-12 Horizon Report suggested SWIFT as a site to aid teachers in communication via the web with their students and parents. SWIFT stands for Simplified Web Interface for Teachers. For schools that do not have their websites set up for teachers to have their individual pages, this is a great solution. Teachers are able to design a site without needing to know HTML or software programs and are able to post announcements, assign homework, start discussions and give practice quizzes. SWIFT can be integrated with an existing site and created with the same color and design scheme to fit in with a present district site. Having created websites before, I think options like this are fabulous for creating a decent-looking and usable site.

I feel like this would be very good to use as a resource in my classroom. As a middle school math teacher, I will be using a lot of algebra in my class. This would be a very helpful site to use as practice or review. Rather than having students bring their books home to complete their homework, they could just log into the site and complete the problems.

There are word searches and games that have to do with the food pyramid and eating right. There also is a video about food smarts that the children can watch to more understand
This website is directed towards educators to use as a tool in the carrying out of a lesson plan. When using the exact link itself, the website it brings me to a page that seems very simple and basic, but when looking at the company that created it, it is very complex and thorough.

Fact Monster has a lot of really cool links, and one of them is the United States. On there you can find out tons of facts on each state. Another neat thing on factmonster.com is that it will ask you if you are a boy or girl, and then what grade you are in. Once it ask you, a random fact will pop up for the internet surfer to read.

Siftables are small, block-like smart objects that include a display and the ability to sense their own location and orientation and the proximity of other Siftables. They are sort of like high tech versions of the building blocks with letters and numbers we used as children. The can play music, form words, and other exciting functions. IF I had these in my classroom I would definitely use them in math. On the website it shows a video of siftables with numbers on them and you can arrange say 5 + 3 = each on a different siftable. On the last siftable it will produce the answer when you line them up. This way children get an instant answer. You could also use it with spelling which can also be seen on the video on the website.

MyPyramid Blast Off Game is an interactive computer game where students can reach "Planet Power" by fueling their rockets with food and physical activity. "Fueling" tanks for each food group helps students keep track of how their choices fit into MyPyramid. Students will create menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. They will also have to choose a physical activity. If they get the correct amount of healthy foods in their tanks and the correct amount of physical activity their "blast off" will go smoothly. Otherwise their "blast off" will fail.
