this is a site for math teachers, students and/or their families. great for students who might be struggling with math or their interest in math class. there are links for students, teachers or parents, as well as puzzles and games, advice for how to reduce frustration or boredom in math, etc. great site for math teachers to know about!! seems to cover topics from prealgebra through trigonometry.

This is a good site for high school math webquests There are many different levels from algebra 1 through calculus so these examples could be used and changed to bring down to middle school level and great for using in advanced middle school math classes

This pdf has good sites for math podcasts, one of which I posted earlier tonight. An excellent resource, I think, for a math teacher interested in introducing podcasting into their classroom.

this is a site, again for math teachers, sponsored by nctm (national council of teachers of mathematics). similar to the cool math site i mentioned earlier, but this site because of its affiliation with nctm, certainly would be up to snuff as far as national standards are concerned and reinforcing mathematics which are included in the national standards. i have not researched or used this site as much as the cool math, but it looks good!

This page has some really cool ideas for math projects on a variety of topics: personal finance, quilting, impact of trash and recycling on a community, geometry scavenger hunt, to name a few. Appears to be from a k to 12 school, I'm gleaning from the web url address (in North Carolina?). I'll need to research it to see where it comes from.

this site explains math webquests as they relate to the nctm standards, and how they meet the standards. there are also different levels of math webquests as links on the side : elementary, middle school and high school.
