Pythagorean Theorem - Flocabulary - 0 views

  •
This site lists really neat lyrics to a song about the Pythagorean Theorem. This would be a great introduction to the theorem for students that have not used it before. Kids could take parts or recite the song together, or a teacher could create a video of some sort that uses these lyrics. This corresponds to Indiana State Standard 8.4.5 for eighth-grade math.

Road Rage - 0 views

  •
This activity is appropriate for middle school students learning about linear equations and corresponds to the Indiana State Standard 8.3.1 for eighth grade math. Students can do a worksheet (provided) about car collisions. Some of the answers will be negative and/or require rounding. To help students visualize this topic, an activity is provided in which students race or collide remote-controlled cars and collect data and analyze the meaning of their results.
