   There are so many apps available, it can be overwhelming to find the right ones. Here is a list of 15 free apps which I have found useful. I am using all of them on my iPad but many are also available for other mobile devices.  1. Flipboard      This has become my favorite app and I use it more than anything else. It turns all of your social streams from sites like Facebook and Twitter into a virtual magazine. You can also add any other sites that you love to read to read on the go. The layout of this app is just beautiful. 

Recording a friend in a quiet, upload videos to Facebook? Use ZionEyez. These glasses have a small camera on the right side of the frame. These gadgets use lithium batteries and has a size of 8GB of memory and USB slot. Also equipped with Bluetooth. ZionEyez USB to charge and download pictures. ZionEyez price of U.S. $ 147.

public Web 2.0 projects for journalism and community action

As far as I can tell, these images are all public domain or are no longer copyrighted. Another good source of "vintage" images is gutenberg.org

Flipbook looks like an amazing and easy animation creator. Students can draw and create right on the website. They make their animations frame-by-frame. This web2.0 tool could be applied to any unit for my science students. I would love to have them make a step-by-step animation of a cell going through mitosis!
