The paper then goes into the ways that technology provides a value add for learning. I thought that this paper was an interesting take on communities of practice.

Summary: The goal of this project was to look into the preparation of teachers on the topic of PLN's and a range of other eLearning tools. This project is interesting because they really dove into the current teacher training methods. The project goes through all of the major hurdles into getting these new eLearning principles used in the classroom by the new generation of teachers.

This was a study around the ways that a Twitter PLN can support teacher's professional development. I found this paper interesting because it outlined a few realities of PLN's.

Summary: This is a great website with many resources for the creation of PLN's. It walks through 10 steps in creating a PLN. I thought the comments were thoughtful, and found the resource to be helpful in my gaining better insight into PLN's.
