Ivy League Business Schools Begin Teaching Social Media - 1 views

  •
Even stuffy ivy league universities are seeing the value of adding social media classes to their MBA programs to encourage new business models. Part of this is a reaction to some embarrassing errors made by major corporations: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/31/education/31iht-riedmba.html

Google Invents an App Inventor - 1 views

  •
According to Google, this resource is so easy to use that kids can create their own Apps, though limited to Google's Android OS. Google borrowed some code from a teacher education program at MIT as their building blocks. They hope young people (and teachers) will be inspired to become serious App creators. Critics say it will only add to the hundreds of low-quality, useless Apps that are already out there. What do you think?

Thank you for sharing this, Dylan. This is very helpful and pertinent to something I am working on for this coming school year.

AT&T Ads from 1993 - 2 views

  •
If you haven't seen this YouTube video, you must. It is a collection of AT&T television ads from 1993 predicting the impact of future technologies on our lives. It is amazingly insightful with one exception: phone booths! Don't forget, the world wide web was in its infancy in 1993 with a minute number of sites that the general public knew little or nothing about. Anyone recognize the narrator's voice?
