this infographic shows us that using technology in our lives has more place than in our educational purposes. It gives the rates of U.S, however i think that in our country or any other one rates are similar. Especially students use technology for socializing like smartphones, social medias or etc. rather than to use in education. :)

It contains so much information in it but those are with graphs and short sentences like posters. The most interesting fact that I identify in the infographic is that there is a source called as YouTubeEDU and it has 700.000 educational videos over 800 channels.

In the infographic, the change in the way how people learn is summarized in four ways. Through technology, people learn collaboratively rather than individually and become active learners rather than passive ones. Moreover, when compared to before, personalized learning can be better achieved through technology, and there is an increase in multi-tasking.

This infographic presents 5 benefits of using technology in teacher education. One of the benefits that I found interesting was "technology reduces weight". I agree with this benefit a lot. Since I am a commuter as a doctoral student, I feel this benefit deeply. I used to carry huge handbooks and articles for a single presentation or a class reading. I now carry my iPad and use my cloud account on my tech tools, and read everywhere. I feel more comfortable and mobile now with the reduced weight and the less paper.

In the infographic, it is stated that " 98% of college students own a digital device" and "3 of 4 students say they wouldn't be able to study without technology". Based on these findings, I can suggest that Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) can be a promising trend since students can study in classroom environment with their own technologies.

I agree with you, Ceren. Increased student achievement as a consequence of use of Twitter in classes is interesting. I would like to give an example how it can occur. Students can use Twitter to write their short reflections about a topic they learnt in class. It may increase students' engagement in lessons outside of the class and as a result it may foster learning.

Gamification is a new concept for me, according to the infographic %43 of teachers (we dont know who) include gamification in their classrooms, and that increases the average test scores about %10.
