The wiki is an online platform that provides a space to house my multimedia project. It provides both essential and generative learning for workshop participants. I decide to use wikispace because I am very familiar with the site, it's free and easy for student to navigate.

Ning is an online platform that allows participants to create there own social network. This site would work well for generative learning, because it allows the learner to engage in conversations with others about what they are learning and how it could fit there classroom needs. I selected the Ning because it is something teacher can use in their classrooms and teach student how to use it.

This website contains many types of rubrics to fit every need. It gives sample rubics that are adaptable to meet the needs for various assignments. It even has a collaboration rubric. It is easy to use. Since the rubrics are specifically designed for the online learner, it is best for my purpose than the other sites that are for the face-to-face classroom.

Of the sites explored, this was the most comprehensive, easy to follow, and relevant.

This site is one that I would use often becuase it takes the worrying out of authentic assessment it makes it easier and it's user friendly.

Jing will allow me to create a short introduction to my multimedia project. It will help me to provide essential learning materials to my students. I like Jing because it free and easy to use.

Wordle is a great site for creating pre-training activities that will inspire participants to learn. The activities will be used for essential learning because it givse participants a starting point for learning. I would use this site because it catches the learning attention while provide meaningful learning.

Embed collage into wikis, blogs, or websites. You can also copy your creation into a powerpoint. Easy to use. Free download so you can work when not online.

XMind is a Web 2.0 Open Source tool in which you can create mind maps. You can insert your own pictures, change colors of each heading, and even add a background. Visually appealing since you can add a background and your own pictures.

It is easy to use and allows the user not to feel overwhelmed. The site incorporates text, visuals (pictures or videos), and sound. This meets generative learning. The product looks very professional.

You can upload photographs (even powerpoints saved as jpegs or gifs) to create a movie of your own. Just add music to further engage your audience. Engaging with the power of a video with music. Easy to use.

This site is a great resource to post presentations (PowerPoints, Word documents, PDF...) which may be too large to share on a blog or in an email. I n my workshop, participants may access videos, presentations and files with ease, as well as create their own log in to post their own findings and creations.

I actually have to create a portfolio and it is easy to house on a site like this. It is easily accessible. It provides many user friendly functions and can adequately host or be any authentic assessment. Functions are straightforward and can easily share site for collaboration.
