ChronoZoom is an open source community project dedicated to visualizing the history of everything to bridge the gap between the humanities and sciences using the story of Big History to easily understand all this information. This project has been funded and supported by Microsoft Research Connections in collaboration with University California at Berkeley and Moscow State University. You can browse through history on ChronoZoom to find data in the form of articles, images, video, sound, and other multimedia. ChronoZoom links a wealth of information from five major regimes that unifies all historical knowledge collectively known as Big History.

"There are few similarities: it appears that the Coalition's plans for Fixed Wireless technology and Satellite technology in rural areas may be similar (there's an near-total lack of detail in the Coalition's plans and much information is gathered through 'reading between the lines') but there are big questions regarding the differences in funding. Presefy is a new service that you can use to share your presentations to your students' mobile devices. Through Presefy you can control your slides from your computer or from the browser in your iPad, iPhone, Android phone, or any other mobile device that has a web browser.  When you advance the slides in your presentation the slides also advance on your students' mobile devices. Your students can take notes as they follow along with your slides.

The mentality spurring the Discourse team is the desire to "raise the standard of discussion on the web through better forum software." Core to their actions is the belief that forums are an integral aspect of proper web communities, yet most forum designs are stuck in the 1990s. With Discourse, they want to make forum hosting easy, flexible, and appealing to the 21st Century.

conjunction with Explain Everything, students now have the ability to publish blog posts through their existing Evernote account that can include customized images, graphics or posters. One of my favorite uses for Explain Everything is to create graphics by using the cropping image & text feature. Once the graphic is created, it can either be exported to the camera roll or uploaded directly to Evernote. Once the image is included in the Evernote note that is tagged with "published", the blog post will appear on the Postach.io blog with the custom image. (If publishing directly from Explain Everything to Evernote, remember to go into the note and add the "published" tag word).

Place the Matterport camera in various points throughout the space to capture an image. Upload your imaged data to the cloud for processing. A 3D model is generated automatically. You'll be notified by email when it's ready to view. Open the link to your 3D model. Walk-through, interact, and share with others.

Infographic based on the findings of Living and Learning with Mobile Devices, a report by Grunwald Associates and the Learning First Alliance, with generous support from AT, highlights the perceptions of parents of a mobile generation, from preschoolers through high school-age students. With schools' increasingly interested in using mobile devices to engage students, parents should be encouraged (and supported) to work with the schools as we move into this new style of education.

"GeoGuesser makes students to use their eyes and become more observant of what is around them. They have to find the indicators (evidence) to guess where they are (virtually).They could discuss their ideas with fellow students. When going through GeoGuesser they learn about geography, how places look different in terms of plants, soils, colours and the architecture of different places of the world.

This infographic from Droid-Life.com gives an outline on some of the inner workings of Google's newest and most ambitious pet project, Google Glass. The graphic shows that a small projector projects an image through a prism, which puts the image directly on the user's retina, creating a small layer over the reality in the background. The "Google Glass" component's position on the frame is also adjustable, making the display layer able to be positioned in various areas within the user's field of vision.

ownCloud gives you universal access to your files through a web interface or WebDAV. It also provides a platform to easily view & sync your contacts, calendars and bookmarks across all your devices and enables basic editing right on the web. Installation has minimal server requirements, doesn't need special permissions and is quick. ownCloud is extendable via a simple but powerful API for applications and plugins.
