Triptico | LinkUp Resource - 0 views

  •
Link Up is a web app that helps kids link words to categories. Each game requires two categories with six linked words each. Once you have created a game you can save it to access at a later time or to share with others. Students use Link Up by dragging links between categories and words. The game is easy to customize and create on the fly. It would be a great site to use with an interactive whiteboard.

"Virtual field trips challenge and expose students to new types of technology. It is a great way to spark their interest and motivate their learning in a specific content area. Virtual field trips can offer students more opportunities because you can take them to places they wouldn't normally be able to go to otherwise - like inside a volcano or ocean floor!"

Dragon Wood: Habitats - 0 views

  •
Pupils navigate their way around the two woods and use a camera to take photos of items of interest. Once they have taken each photograph a real image appears, together with more information about what they have seen. Once both woods have been visited, multiple choice questions test recall and understanding. The activity works well in an ICT suite for individual exploration and discovery or it can be used as a shared pupil experience using an interactive whiteboard - particularly helpful if the class includes non-readers. It is a great introduction to a real woodland visit.
