I have students that are really not in my class, but they are on my role. These students work with Study Island to help them pass their EOG's. These students are below their grade level potential, so they come to me during my class for extra help The Study Island user-friendly interface allows students to move through the program step-by-step. Each section has a pre-test and a post-test, as well as topics that cover each of the objectives within the Standard Course of Study. Topics consist of questions, answers, explanations, and lessons that address the specific skills required in order to master the Standard Course of Study.

This is one of my favorite sites to use. Study Island is built from state standards and features many options for its' users. The intended audience for this site are K-8. It functions as a testing platform for students and an assessment tool for educators. I enjoy that the activities are designed based on state standards and that educators have the option to choose what questions and/or games will be included in the students activity.

This website is my most favorite website simply due to the content that I am currently teaching. I use this website on a daily basis. The intended audience for this website is for teachers for the following courses: Civics, middle school Social Studies, English, and US History. This website is created and ran by UNC's School of Government. It includes lesson plans, PowerPoints, and videos.

This website created by UNC's School of Education includes resources for K-12 education. There are lesson plans and professional development opportunities for teachers. I like this website because it is connected with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. This makes it easier for EOC teachers who are looking for resources that will connect them to what they should be teaching and when.

This site is very well organized, and has lots of examples in many subjects. Uh-ho - you gotta sign up. It's worth it though. The lessons are obviously done by experts.

This site helps enhance and develop learning skills in many content areas. BrainpopJr is for K-8 and the regular site (www.brainpop.com) is for students in grades 4-8. I enjoy this site because it allows students to go to specific subjects and learn about them in a fun and interactive way.

ClassScape assists teachers in self-assessment of instructional strategies and monitoring student progress on an ongoing basis. ClassScape is an online classroom assessment system that facilitates learning by focusing on curricular objectives. The K-8 school that I teach at in the afternoons have just purchased this software for the school. The teachers seem to like it, we also have Study Island, but classscape seems to line up with NC EOG's better than Sudy Island.

This site is great for students, teachers and parents. It encompasses all the essential learning tools that will be required by elementary school students. Iknowthat caters to Pre-K through 6th grade students. The games are interactive and the content avialable supports all subjects.

The intended audience for this site are students in Pre-K through 8. This site would be a good site if its' games were made using standards from different school districts. Also, some of the games are difficult to understand and poses as a threat to young learners. This site functions as an advertisement site, which can grab learners attention while playing the games.
