Is anyone missing from this list?

Interested to hear if/how people might be using the iPad with young children, to provide new learning opportunities. Please share news/resources about this, and particularly any hands on uses (if you try things out), would love to hear about it.

Our kids have been watching this mother owl on her nest for several days now; they found this site as part of a long term investigation of nocturnal birds & predators/prey (we are a Reggio-style program).

I have found SonicPics to be a great and easy tool for capturing stories. The app makes it easy to create a podcast which is easy to share. I have also used it as a reflective tool wi my classroom assistants, where we created a podcast of what we saw children in our small groups talking about and observing during an investigation on Australian animals.

Includes "Pre-K" teachers for 2nd year. Interesting stats on K-12 vs. Pre-K access to technology and usage of digital media.

The iTunes Store offers more than 100,000 audio and video podcasts from independent creators and big names like HBO, NPR, ESPN, The Onion, CBS Sports, and The New York Times.

This is better than totlol because it's free :) Part of KidZui, I like the searching, browsing, and channel options. I'm not entirely sure how videos get in because you can 'report' videos, and they've definitely removed some videos because if you search for "sex" you'll find a bunch, and several have been removed. But, it's better than just letting a kid loose on youtube :)

I really loved this website! It would be great in a classroom because a teacher can easily find videos that are appropriate for his/her classroom. My favorite aspect would probably be how they set aside a videos specifically for Halloween! This would be really fun in a classroom around Halloween, and I bet they do it for more than just Halloween.

This is a very simple website, probably better for older kids because site does not provide detailed instructions. Also relies a lot on author/kids own creativity and story formation. Good tool for creating different types of creative writing assignments. Have to be careful because also includes links to make you own cigarette boxes, which led me to believe the site is not highly monitored and kids may be able to access other inappropriate websites.

This would be a good site to use with toddler/preschool caregiver training. It is an organized module introducing one to the power of internet and presenting a variety of technologies. It is written so indivduals can complete at comfortable pace.
