    Whole Foods is the No. 1 grocer in terms of seafood sustainability this year, according to Greenpeace's 2015 Carting Away the Oceans report. The list honors stores that harvest or raise their fish offerings with minimal environmental harm. Rounding out the top five were Wegmans, Hy-Vee, Safeway and Target.

Eaton Honors 39 Facilities for Achieving Zero Waste-to-Landfill - 0 views

    Power management company Eaton announced that its 39 zero-waste-to-landfill manufacturing facilities have avoided 2,750 metric tons of waste since 2010. The sites also avoided 2,500 metric tons of CO2 from waste transportation and storage over the same time period.

    On Tuesday, the EPA awarded the Disneyland Resort the 2014 Food Recovery Challenge award for its zero-waste efforts and food recovery. Disneyland is the first theme park to receive the award.

    Disneyland Resort was recognized today by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with the 2014 Food Recovery Challenge award for its zero waste efforts, and the highest percent increase in food recovery of any theme park in the nation. "Disneyland is a model for food recovery efforts," said Jared Blumenfeld, EPA's Regional Administrator for the Pacific Southwest. "Disney has the potential to educate millions of people who visit the resort on zero waste, while doing its part to fight climate change and create a better environment for Southern California residents."
