HERE IS HOW OLD EVERYONE IS IN DRAGON AGE: INQUISITION - 2 views

Source is World of Thedas unless given otherwise.

The Elder One and Faith - 0 views

Took a peek at Dragon Age's subreddit this eve to find this fantastic breakdown of Cory and what drove his motivation to godhood. Much of this is something we super duper Corypheus fans probably already understand, but the thread has some other interesting points. enjoy!

Solas and Varric - 0 views

  •
The relationship between these two fascinates me and honestly I think it's important. This is most obvious with Cole's personal quest, where they bring the two men's opposed viewpoints into the foreground, but it's certainly not the only place.

Witch Hunt and Morrigan's Gift - 0 views

  •
So I know in the past there's been speculation about the gift Morrigan will leave for you at the end of Witch Hunt. The most popular of these ideas appears to suggest it's Flemeth's Grimoire or some sort of translated copy of it. I actually don't think this is the case, for reasons below, though we're pretty confident it is a book of some sort.

Master Reference Post: Dwarven Origins - 0 views

  •
Here's everything we know so far from canon about where the dwarves might have come from, and what their true nature is. As always, if I missed something let me know and I'll update this post, but make sure it's a source I can link-dialogue video, reference images, codex text, etc etc.

More Freaky Fade Statues - 1 views

  •
The creepiest thing. The first big rock you find in the Fade is this. I've been playing this fucking game twice and never noticed it. In my third one, I was shocked for not realising about it before… like, they are huge!, what I had in my eyes!?.

Solas, The Maker, and Shartan - 1 views

  •
Trespasser Spoilers So I know a lot of people think Solas is Shartan in the story of Andraste, but I don't think it is that simple. In Dragon Age Origins we run across a challenge within the Gauntlet, in which we are given riddles by those from Andraste's past.

Guises of the Maker - 1 views

  •
We have a mysterious presence called the Maker in Dragon Age. It is said to represent the essence of faith. It is the optimism of the nation, the idea that things are as they should be, that if one lives well and in accordance with rules and established order, that good will come.

Non Magic Medicine In Thedas - 1 views

  •
A talk with "Surgeon" in Skyhold nets a good look at the state of medical science in Thedas. It's quite interesting because for all that the world of Dragon Age seems to have healing magic it's ideas about medicine seem to be quite primeval.

A Pro-Templar Argument - 1 views

  •
I would love to hear a pro-templar argument. I'm not being critical, I'm just genuinely curious what made some people choose the templars over the mages?

Master Reference Post: Blood Magic - 0 views

  •
Wondering how blood magic works? Who uses it and why? What it's good for? Defenses against it? According to canon, this is what we know. Please note: the discussion of blood magic by its very nature means that any of the videos and codex entries linked herein are likely to contain references to or onscreen depictions of self-harm, murder, abuse, manipulation, torture, and blood and gore.

Master Reference Post: The Forbidden Ones/The Forgotten Ones - 0 views

  •
The accidental spawn of my MRP on Blood Magic. Canon sources and references to some of the scariest badasses of the Fade. Strictly speaking they're two separate groups, but I'm conflating them into one post because even canon sources seem to get them confused from time to time.

Inquisition Concept Art - 0 views

  •
I was surprised to see these out there! Some context: These were stitched together and put up on the wall for two reasons. First, to remind everyone that a LOT had been designed and built (during a time when most of it wasn't in the game yet). Second, it acted as a visual guide for factions moving forward. There was still a lot to design, and seeing where you've come from does a lot to inform where you're going.

Scrapbooking in Thedas: Flemeth and Ostagar - 2 views

  •
Yeah, anyway, Flemeth. I do have some notes on Ostagar too, but let's start with Flemeth. Because, well, it's Flemeth. 1. Now that we know a bit more about what's going on with Flemeth, some of her lines are starting to make more sense… and others of them are becoming even more cryptic.

Random Musings on Random Codex - 1 views

  •
Playing through The Descent again (so I could bring Solas and see if he says anything cool or enlightening), and had an immediate thought spring to mind on this codex: Unless there's a Blight, surfacers reserve the darkspawn for cautionary religious lessons and bedtime stories. That is a luxury Orzammar cannot afford.

"Our men were murdered by a group called the Blades of Hessarian." - 1 views

  •
So I wanted to use the Blades of Hessarian quest in my writing, so I watched this video and took notes to get everything straight in my head (you know, so that I can change it :P) and I thought that sort of thing would conceivably be useful to other authors too.

The Puzzle of The Dead Hand in Ghilan'nain's Grove - 1 views

  •
So I'm doing the puzzle of The Dead Hand in Ghilan'nain's Grove when I realize the layout of the puzzle is telling a very specific story about Fen'Harel and Andruil that I don't remember anyone pointing out before.imo this puzzle gives in-game evidence to Felassan's story in The Masked Empire about how Andruil tied Fen'Harel up to a tree and and "declared that he would have to serve in her bed for a year and a day to pay her back."

Why the Inquisitor shows up barefaced at the Winter Palace - 0 views

  •
Right, so, I 100% love all the art people make of their inquisitors and others in masks for Halamshiral, and I have a lot of sympathy for the attitude that we got robbed with our plain-ass matching pseudo-military uniforms (which, notably, had stylistically nothing whatsoever to do with any other costumes shown in the game, which bothers me too).

Unofficial Consolidated Maps of Ferelden - 2 views

  •
Two maps for everyone, using all known sources I could find for locations in Ferelden throughout the games. That includes the "blank" map that I used for the base of these two (the first map available on the wikia), an alternate base that has some of the location markers (from the RPG, I believe), the quest-marker map from DA:O, Awakening's quest-marker map, Dragon Age: Legends, World of Thedas Vol 1, and Inquisition's war table and world maps.

Leliana and issues of identity - 1 views

  •
I want to find, rather than write, good, objective meta about how Leliana throughout the games deals with a serious identity issue, because she is hyper-aware of how her abuser shaped her into a killer when she was just a teenager, and of how she enjoyed it, and she hates it.
