Timeline for the "shortest Blight" calculations with dates instead of relative time. Again, click the image for a full-size version. World of Thedas says that the Blight started in 9:30 and ended in 9:31, so this is a calculation of the date you need to start the origin to have the Blight end on Firstday 9:31 if you finish it as quickly as possible.

(So over a year ago I was trying to dig as deeply in to the Dragon Age lore as I could having beaten the first two games after their release. In the process I searched high and low for a timeline that put every bit of media in to chronological order as that was how I wanted to tackle it and to help see the big picture. I found one that was out of date and inaccurate so I ended up making one of my own and updated it as I checked out everything first hand. So after using it for my own reference for quite some time I decided to put it on here. This is what I've managed to come up with so far. Any suggestions or questions are welcome. I'll update this as new information comes forward. This includes all related media that I could find, and goes off of the most recent official information that I can gather in game and out.)

The Awakening-to-DA2 timeline doesn't make a huge amount of sense, no. Awakening does take less than a year (it's only about six months, apparently) but the maths still doesn't work out. And it's all the fault of Seneschal Varel.

It took me a while to gather everything (you can find all this info at the bottom of my profile tab) and there are still some dates that are rather vague, but everything here is taken from in the game, the game years are used as comparison or are directly pulled from the World of Thedas book. Hope everyone enjoys! And of course if you have canon knowledge that can be added with more specific dates, let me know and toss me the source! :D

rederiswrites: Okay I keep seeing posts that assume that only elves will survive the destruction of the Veil and I...don't see any support for that assumption? Timeline-wise (I checked with my timeline expert penbrydd ), dwarves existed for a long time before the Veil, and humans almost certainly were around in Thedas also.

The timeline goes from the founding of Arlathan to 9:42 Dragon, which is like 8500 years, and there are something like 330 events, at this time. The load time can be considerable on slower systems, and I'm going to advise against loading this thing on a mobile device.
