This website has excellent resources to use within the classroom, I find the PowerPoints to be entertaining and informative.

This website is a sister website of the Advanced Placement program. This website has some power points on different IB psychology topics that you may encounter in class for background knowledge.

"Tools to look at Interval or Ratio (Scale) Data December 31st, 2010 Interval Scale is use when we are measure the differences between observations. Difference between any two successive points is equal. Interval scale numbers that are equally different represent differences of equal magnitude. The zero vale of an interval scale is arbitrary. Often data of this scale are treated as a Ratio scale even if the assumption of equal intervals is incorrect. Some examples of Interval scale data is Calendar time, Voltage and  Temperature. Ratio Scales is like Interval Scale except it has a true zero point. In other words you can have nothing less than zero, on negative values. Some examples of ratio scale data  is Time, Distance, weight, Speed, ad Frequency."

Good site to use as a jumping point for a discussion or debate regarding ethics in psychology.

"Help and support for young people aged 12-25 at centres, online or over the phone covering mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicide, eating disorder, illness, cannabis, psychosis, depression, substance use, schizophrenia, antidepressant medication, self-talk, problem solving, stress, online chat, LGBTI" This is a useful website as a starting point for students to find out about mental illness and also offers support.

This site will help you keep up-to-date with the latest psychology research. You could find some experimental studies that can be replicated, but that's not so easy and you might have to do quite a lot of searching.

For some reason I think this didn't work the first time! This website is The British Psychological Society's blog. It is called "Research Digest: Blogging on brain and behaviour", and it reports on current research papers. As a sample of their attention-grabbing research posts, there are such titles as "The Psychology of Facebook, Digested" (Social Anxiety) and "10 Hellish Psychology Studies You'll Be Glad Not To Have Participated In" (Research Ethics). It seems like a great site to spark student interest into a variety of relevant research topics in a "digestible" way.

One of the first websites I came across when looking for resources; Haven't stopped using it since. Perfect for practicing to write research summaries!

Interesting examination of genocide from a psychological point of view.

This will be useful to students as an overall guide as to how to go about with their research.It is a good resource which is simple to understand and covers all the important points.

My new favorite resource for psychology. Many other topics are addressed. Accessible language, succinct, to the point. Addresses paper writing as well. Well orgnaized and laid out.

This is a good site to locate research studies not always found in the psychology textbooks. It offers students variety in how they defend their positions.

Totally agree. It's well worth the money. My school paid for it last year and I'm hoping it will continue to pay for it the next year as well. The website complements the Oxford Study Guide

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading - through TED.com, our annual conferences, the annual TED Prize and local TEDx events. I believe this a valuable site to find current lectures on important topics in the field of psychology

Educational Resources for IB Psychology..This is probably one of my favorite IB Psych resource sites out there. As a teacher new to IB, I find it very helpful as it is informative and language is clear to understand.

A few great resources and instructions on the key points students need to learn.

Hopefully this piece will spur discussion regarding the "why" of abnormality. Why do certain, seemingly abnormal behaviors, seem to be so pervasive. Do they serve a purpose, or did they at one point? What other behaviors might have purpose to them?

Great blog/ruminations about human behavior and the mind. A good conversation/discussion starter and points to get us thinking about various topics. Down-to-earth writing as well
