zondle - games to support learning - 0 views

  •
zondle is a site where you create quizes with any topic you would like for your students. The students then chose a gome from the game choices (which are many) and once the students answer the questions correctly, they play a portion of the game. This is a way to reinforce any skill that you would like to learn and remember. The games are quite fun and some are challenging enough to make you want to answer the questions over and over just to play the games. This site is free and has so much potential for use with a variety of learners.

Blubbr - Create Interactive Quizzes Using YouTube Clips - 0 views

  •
Blubbr is a neat quiz creation service that I recently learned about on Free Technology for Teachers. Using Blubbr you can create interactive quizzes that are based on YouTube clips. Your quizzes can be about anything of your choosing. The structure of the quizzes has a viewer watch a short clip then answer a multiple choice question about the clip. Viewers know right away if they chose the correct answer or not.  Great for reinforcing a topic on internet safety, social netiquette, social skills etc.

The Learning Network - The Learning Network Blog - NYTimes.com - 0 views

A good blog (actually looks like a newpaper page) that has lessons where students are asked to give their opinion on a topic. Very good questions to develop reasoning, judgement and decision making skills. These questions can be used to link in your own blog, wiki, or web tool (like the collaborize classroom). Students can comment on the blog site their opinion. Nice to get your school recognized.

MAP Reading - 0 views

This site corresponds with the map data (mearsures of academic progress). This is a great compilation of sites that are categorized by skill level and concept. You have to know what score the child got on their maps testing and then work on those concepts that fall into the range on the site. All are interactive and easy games. This site can even be used without the map scores and used just for fun.
