zondle is a site where you create quizes with any topic you would like for your students. The students then chose a gome from the game choices (which are many) and once the students answer the questions correctly, they play a portion of the game. This is a way to reinforce any skill that you would like to learn and remember. The games are quite fun and some are challenging enough to make you want to answer the questions over and over just to play the games. This site is free and has so much potential for use with a variety of learners.

This is an app for the Ipad market, the android version is not out yet but they are developing one. This seem excellent for ESL learners or those learning a foreign language. Over 1500 hand-picked words, phrases, audio clips, & pictures jam-packed into 50 lessons-your brain will always have something to chew on!

A good blog (actually looks like a newpaper page) that has lessons where students are asked to give their opinion on a topic. Very good questions to develop reasoning, judgement and decision making skills. These questions can be used to link in your own blog, wiki, or web tool (like the collaborize classroom). Students can comment on the blog site their opinion. Nice to get your school recognized.

 ImageQuiz, a website that uses the power of images (1 image = 1000 words) to help you learn. The website contains a variety of quizzes, that you can try out.  It is really easy to make a quiz with an uploaded image of your choice from clip art or your computer.  Be creative and use power point to make an image and develop a quiz.  It worked on the android tablet and is free.  

Blubbr is a neat quiz creation service that I recently learned about on Free Technology for Teachers. Using Blubbr you can create interactive quizzes that are based on YouTube clips. Your quizzes can be about anything of your choosing. The structure of the quizzes has a viewer watch a short clip then answer a multiple choice question about the clip. Viewers know right away if they chose the correct answer or not.  Great for reinforcing a topic on internet safety, social netiquette, social skills etc.

Wufoo is a web application that helps anybody build amazing online forms. When you design a form with Wufoo, it automatically builds the database, backend and scripts needed to make collecting and understanding your data easy, fast and fun.  The free version only allows you three forms but you can delete the form (if you don't need the data) and make a new one and only 150 entries can be taken for each form. Because we they everything, all you need is your web browser and a few short minutes to build a form and start using it right away. Its not as straight forward as google forms, but its not hard to learn just check up each tab and double click to get things to open up to change.  

This is another version of online student response system that seems to go a step further than the Socrative learning tool.  This system allows you to record the questions in audio, use pictures and set up different classrooms.  You can even provide a link where each of the students can view the same web page at once while the teacher discusses a topic.  The tool allows the students to respond with a drawing which is great for dyslexic students struggling with writing.
