Hi, does anyone know of any good, reliable, free online social studies textbooks? I think I'll start out general with this post and follow up individually as necessary.
I teach at Hunterdon Central Regional HIgh School in Flemington, NJ. Our school is piloting 1 to 1 netbooks and we also use Moodle. We're also embracing 21st Century Skills and revising curriculum to reflect this (the entire state of NJ must be there by 2013, we're ahead of the curve)
Hi Keith, My name is Robert Maloy and I teach in the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Along with my college students and local teachers, I have been developing a free wikispace of history teaching and learning resources organized around the Massachusetts History & Social Science framework. We have pages of resources for most every learning standard for grades 5 to 12 in U.S. history, world history, ancient history, world geography, government, and economics (although the last three are the least developed). We have live links to primary sources, interactive websites, lesson plans, and multimedia materials. Check it out at http://resourcesforhistoryteachers.wikispaces.com/ and become a member if you wish.

Thank you so much. Keep the resources coming! These are wonderful and I am so appreciative of your help.
Take care,
