Az oldal röviden beszámol az ENSZ eddigi főtitkárairól. A magyarok számára különösen fontos Dag Hammarskjöld, aki az 1956-os forradalom idején töltötte be posztját.

  • seniors could be one of the target groups who would profit most from online learning opportunities
  • Quoting a 75 years old learner: “I liked being able to get to grips with this new (to me) technology in the privacy of my own home in my own time. Being able to work at my own pace - some things came quickly, others not so. Being able to contact our mentors and other course members from time to time and when necessary”.

  • the increase has been most striking in relation to adults aged 55-64 and 65-74; the percentage reporting that they are confident has increased by 15 and 13 percentage points respectively
  • it is notable that the majority of adults in all age groups use e-mail.
  • Some members of the ageing population struggle to use ICT because of accessibility issues, this might be because they have failing memory or physical health. Others may just not be interested in using for example, the Internet. This might be because they see no added value in using the Internet, consider it unnecessary or feel that alternative channels are adequate.

E-INCLUSION IN HUNGARY, 2008 - Inforum report « INFORUM - 0 views

  • The members of the 50+ age group got acquainted with the internet at the age of 53 on the average, but there are also people, who started to learn the basis at the age of 87. The elder age group mostly browses, reads email, reads news, searchesand searches/checks things when using the internet.
  • In the case of the older people not using the internet the reasons of staying away is mostly cognitive type of reasons (not interested, do not need it), and not financial type of reasons.
  •

Valóban nagy szükség van az olyan kikötőkre, ahol rendelkeznek a mentéshez szükséges speciális technikával és tudással. Sokkal egyszerűbb a hajó mentése ott, mint a 2 méteres hullámok közt.

The Doors - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views

  • The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. They were considered a controversial band, due mostly to Morrison's cryptic lyrics and unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death on July 3, 1971, the remaining members continued as a threesome until disbanding in 1973.[1] Despite a career that barely totaled eight years, The Doors still enjoy a huge cult following as well as status in the mainstream music industry as being hugely influential and original. According to the RIAA, they have sold over 32 million albums in the US alone.[2]
