During WW2 the US government not only allowed, but gave the order for doctors to inject random citizens with plutonium or uranium. They had tested this on animals with adverse reactions, and somehow still concluded it would be a good idea to test on the human population.

During the Cold War the United States did a lot of secret testing and ran numerous classified operations. One of the things they tested was mind control, and not necessarily on willing participants. No wonder the documents of the tests were ordered destroyed

The ATF sent guns to Mexico on purpose saying it was to track them to higher ranking cartel members. They gave working firearms to known smugglers and Mexican Cartel members. Then the plan backfired, they lost all the guns, couldn't track them, and now U.S. citizens have died by those guns.

Recently there's exploded huge controversies surrounding the IRS. Reportedly, a group of IRS employees targeted conservatives. Also, there are tons of reports on the misspending of American tax dollars

This is probably one of the most well known issues surrounding government corruption. Spying and stealing secret documents. Not to mention the attempt to pay off the thieves to keep everything quiet.

Beyond conspiracy and theories there are facts. Facts like classified documents on Kennedy's assassination. Not to say all the conspiracy theorists are right, but why are there so many documents the government won't release. It's been 50 years since his death and for some reason the president thinks there should still be some secrets

The crazy part is that the way our monetary system works is the same way the English banking system worked back in the day. In fact, that was one of the reasons for the Revolution in the first place

Whether it's "terrorists", global warming, or a new virus, the government and media usually blow things way out of proportion. Most of the time it stirs the public into a frenzy and we end up spending money in some way. Sometimes the cash goes to groups that help end hunger in Africa and other times it's a huge hospital bill because we weren't sure if it was the bird flu or the swine flu (turned out to be a cold).
