    Bullying exists everywhere! I like this article because it provides ways for an anti-bullying environment. At some point in time everyone has whiteness someone being bullied, has been bullied personally, or has been the bully. Its a tragic subject that can lead individuals to suicidal attempts and depression. How long will it take before people realize this matter is crucial especially in educational environments, social media, and even in politics.

    I just found out that my wife is pregnant a week ago and this is one of my greatest concerns as a soon to be parent. No one should have to go to school and be open to abuse. Great article and I appreciated the ways that it states to make safe environments.

    Bullying.....we always hear the word bullying and this is one of the most scary situation in the world. Million of people have killed themselves because of bullying. we have to stop bullying.

    This is such a common topic and has been for so many years. Bullying has been around for so long and now that social media is extremely popular it seems to make it worse. We have to do all we can to prevent this due to so many students committing suicide because of such extreme bullying.

    As a parent of a bullying victim, I feel there is much that can be fixed when dealing with this issue. the only thing you can do as a parent is talk to the administration and after that, your hands are tied. They are the ones that talk to the student and the student's parent. The only notification you get is that they had a meeting. In the meantime, your child is being retaliated against, their self-esteem continues to deteriorate and their schoolwork suffers. I wish there could be a more proactive approach. There came a time that I didn't get any communication until I sent an email to the entire school staff, Principal, and Superintendent.

    Its definitely an issue that far too often is overlooked. I am not a parent, and can only imagine how parents feel when their son or daughter is a victim of bullying. The issue definitely needs to be addressed, no one should have to attend school worried or concerned about how their day is going to go. It is very saddening, and disheartening.

    I feel like bullying has become more and more of an issue over the years. It is sad to see what is going on and I would like to see more schools implement programs to stop it.

    Bullying as gotten bigger over the years especially dealing with how big social media is getting. I wish school and adults would help stop this issue because it is always overlooked.

    Bullying needs to be recognized in all levels. Most people think that bullying just happens at school with children on the playground but they should realize that it can happen to adults and in all types of environments.

    I wrote about child abuse. I think that this is a good topic because bullying is similar to abuse. There is a victim, and a perpetrator. I also believe bullying can stem from being abused or neglected at home.

    The article studies the relationship between cyberbullying and school bullying. The results show that students who are bullied in cyberspace are at higher risk of being bullied at school as well. Additionally, students who are bullied in cyberspace or in both cyberspace and school are at high risk of low grades, poor concentration, and absenteeism. Bullying has a direct impact on learning whether it occurs in cyberspace or at school.

    Bullying does effect a student's ability to learn, whether it is cyber or not. It can lesson their focus in school and in their social life. Cyber bullying is worse because it can come in many forms. The internet is everywhere and anyone can use it against someone.

    I think it should be common sense that if someone is spending more time getting cyber bullied on top of getting in school bullied as well, If it was me I would not be doing my work. People just need to stop and think before they post.

    Bullying can happen in the schools, but it also happens online. A child could be doing homework online ad actually be bullied by social media like Facebook. Bullying is not targeted to a single group of people. At any given time, anyone can be the subject of a bully. Most kids do not report it. It can happen at any age for any reason.

    I found this thread to be informative. It's sad that I am not surprised by how high the rates of bullying are. It is a truly horrible issue that won't be stopped until parents step in and teach their children how to treat others. I also feel that it's the responsibility of witnesses and school staff to report any bullying and make sure it is resolved, which seems to not happen very often.
