Effects | Facts - Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet - 2 views

  •
This site goes over the many scientists studying climate change and its impact around the globe. The site also highlights the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and their efforts to predict the effects of climate change.

Scientists predict the future effects of climate change according reports. Temperatures will continue to increase, and seasons will lengthen. There will be more frequent extreme weather and a rise in sea level.
  •
Climate change is too often ignored, I'm glad that NASA has ongoing updates about the situation. More people should be accessing this site in order to educate themselves.
  •
This is a great article it is also important to know that if we don't get on track it could be too late to reverse the damage. Also how deserts would become even worse wastelands and the weather would be too extreme on earth to be inhabitable.
  •
Using NASA as a source for climate change is great. This is a great web source for being able to quickly see what scientists are saying in active research.
  •
I found this article to be very informative on the effects of climate change. I was not aware that hurricanes would become worse and growing seasons increase.

NASA climate change and global warming - 4 views

Being a federal agency, it shocks me that many do not believe in climate change despite being presented with facts by NASA, itself. I like that the evidence portion of this site provides visuals to better understand and acknowledge the reality of climate change.
  •
The graphics in this article made it interesting and informative. The statistics on the increase in carbon dioxide levels since 1950 is astonishing. Discussions on global warming causes and remediation are necessary.
  •
In this article, the author explains the causes, effects and solutions to climate change in an interactive way. The website takes you to different diagrams so that you get a better understanding of the evidence.

Donald Trump and the Triumph of Climate Denial - 1 views

Our progress with climate change risk being overturned. A lot of people including our president don't believe in the science of global warming.

I am so desperate and angry that I wish Mother Nature did something to wake those people up. Maybe a massive earthquake or tsunami will show them how bad of the current state our planet is in.
  •
How do you explain the duality of scientific evidence logically pertaining to the results of meta studies both proving and disproving climate change effects and signs?
  •
dal2124240, you don't when it pertains to our newly elected administration.
  •
Again I will ask how do you personally explain the duality of scientific evidence? The last time I check the currently elected administration is not taking English 102 or 101, sharing fact based articles or an attempt there unto pertaining. How do you personally defend your argument against the duality of scientific research; That in the last 30 years the atmosphere over the Antarctic has repaired itself over 150,000,000 square miles despite the increase of carbon emissions?
  •
http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/. Here you go Dalton. Now, may I ask where you got your "evidence based fact" from, and do you have anymore from any reputable sources?

We Don't Deny Harvey, So Why Deny Climate Change? - The New York Times - 3 views

  •
This article targets those who deny the existence of climate change, despite the fact that Texas is experiencing a hurricane. It explains the conditions needed in order for a hurricane to occur and relates them back to a rise in temperature over the years, which supports the realty that is climate change. The article discusses a fair amount of politics, suggesting a unity between parties in order to acknowledge and prepare for what nature has in store, as NASA had predicted a hurricane in Houston some time ago.
  •
This article is current and it really challenges the idea of climate change. It is scary to think that these hurricanes are going to get worse. It provides great points to how climate change is getting worse, and how it will continue to increase the amount of hurricanes.
  •
This article is very interesting. I can't help but think about how bad the other two hurricanes heading towards the U.S. and neighboring countries are going to be.

Warming Seas Are Accelerating Greenland's Glacier Retreat - 1 views

  •
Climate change is a pressing matter that many individuals downplay the severity of. Greenland's melting glaciers are having a major impact on the rise of sea level that is plaguing the Earth. Understanding why they are melting, will help prepare for the rise in sea level.

I agree that many people downplay the severity of environmental matters like this one. Something has to be done about climate change immediately.
  •
I agree with this article and how it shows humanity has been messing up the ice sheets for awhile now. Also very interesting to learn that the ice sheet could recover itself in a short time but we continue to "warm" the water.
  •
Not just Greenland, though Greenland is certainly the most apparent in proximity to Earth. While yes, humanity is rushing the process, the Earth naturally goes through the heating and cooling patterns that cause the ocean to rise and fall and glaciers to retreat and refreeze.
