As much as our women's rights laws have changed in the past years, other countries have not come as far. Some countries, however, are moving small strides towards better days for women. Lebanon's parliament has repealed their "rape law" which allows rapists to escape imprisonment if they marry their victim. Passing the law is just the first step though, applying the law is going to take time and effort.

This article was quite informative and tragic to read, seeing as women are still being treated as less in other countries. While the United States harbors its own cases of gender inequality, women in other countries are faced with injustices they cannot fight on behalf of misogynistic views. While feminism has grown largely within the United States, it seems to lack intersectionalism, which excludes the rights of women in countries ran by a patriarch. I think that this article displays the wrong in the world that can be acknowledged by men women, feminists and non-feminists.
