I completely agree that because of the various forms of media in our society today, and the influence they have on the public, people accused of crimes are usually immediately assumed to be guilty. The authors suggestion that names and pictures stay out of the media, while still informing employers, family, or anyone else who comes in contact with the accused is a great way to ensure privacy if they turn out to be innocent, but also to keep them from victimizing others in case they are in fact guilty.

jen2198817 on 04 Sep 17This topic is not brought up a lot, but it should. This article provides a very good explanation behind the saying "innocent until proven guilty". It also explains that not all of us follow under that saying. It is a saying with actual meaning behind it and more of us need to follow it.
