I have often wondered if there was a tool to organize my own library of books and I think th is may be it.

Middlespot is an innovative web site for social bookmarking that allows users to collect sites in a visual way. This would be a great tool for teachers to organize content appropriate web sites and then share them with their students.

This is an online course called the Habitable Planet. Users can select content by unit which lists all of the topics coveredn in the course or content by type which lists what is available to users. The content by type includes the online textbook in pdf format, videos, interactive labs, visuals, scientists, professional development guide and a glossary. It looks very organized.

This site provides a variety of ready to use lesson plans on a variety of topics. The lessons have an essential question as well as an outline of strategies and activities that can be used to teach them. In addition, if appropriate, graphic organizers will be provided for use with the lessons. When you get to the site use the Find a Lesson Plan search feature to easily see if there is a lesson that aligns to your curriculum.

Teacher's Domain offers free digital media from public TV broadcasters for educational use. Users can search for materials via individual state standards, Common c ore State Standards, or national standards from different organizations. Website users can create onlin eprofiles in order to share the resources they have learned for a particular lesson with others.

It has thousands of videos and they are organized under different categories such as Art, Animal, Nature, Biography, Business...etc. 3- Free Documentaries This one here streams full length documentary films free of charge and with no registration needed. Some of the documentaries in this website has trailers and can also be downloaded. Planboard is a free tool to help teachers schdule and share their class plans. Overviews are then available for weeks, and months.

Cool site! a free collection of educational videos for students ages 3-18. There are more then 11,000 videos on such subjects as math, science, and history. Students, parents and teachers have designated pages and the site offers a guide for contributors. Featured videos originate from national Geographic, YouTube, and google Videos, among others, and have been endorsed by educators from universities such as Harsvard, Standford, and Brigham Young University.
