    Tunisian fighters with the Islamic State have claimed responsibility in a video for the assassinations of the left wing politicians Chokri Belaid and Mohmaed Brahmi last year and have threatened to carry out more assassinations. They want Tunisians to rise up and expand the Islamic State (ISIS).

    This article gives some insight as to why the group has been banned from participating in parliamentary elections in Egypt. The Brotherhood was deemed a terrorist group partially due to their involvement in violent demonstrations all through out Egypt. Though the brotherhood denied it, the government has enough evidence to deem them terrorist and essentially destroy their power in government.

    ISIS has taken over a refugee camp near Damascus, the Syrian capital. They say they are targeting opposition forces living in the camps. ISIS is making it nearly impossible to evacuate those inside the camp and the UN has called this a major "humanitarian crisis."

  • In Pakistan, public education has become a battleground. Members of Fatma’s local school council are outraged, saying the elite only care about themselves and keep the poor illiterate to stay in power.
  • Across town, another kind of school is functioning quite well. It has plenty of room and even provides free tuition and a hot meal. It is one of the country’s many madrassas, or religious schools, which are becoming an increasingly popular option for poor parents.
