Tension has begun to arise with the Iran nuclear program. Iran is repeatedly threatening to walk away from the deal and breached agreements by testing missiles. Fear that the deal is creating more tension than peace.

Turkey has announced that, along with the US, they will be training some 2,000 Syrian rebels. Tensions have been rising between Syria and Turkey ever since Turkey went into Syria to retrieve a historical figure and relocate him but they are hoping this move will calm the tensions between the two states. 

This was probably the most interesting article I have read about education in the MIddle East. It is from the "Humanitarian practice Network". This article is about Turkey and the Syrian refugees, who are not documented as refugees, and the growing desire for improvements to education. Right now, the education which is in place for Syrians is adequate for a temporary stay of preserving knowledge. It is not designed to be used long term, to advance students, or to prep them for universities. This article looks at those issues and tensions which are happening currently in Turkey

A Syrian and Jordan border crossing has now been closed due to tensions between the "freedom fighters" and other similar groups. 

Though once living in toleration and nonviolence, Kurdish forces and governement forces clash with numerous casualties, creating new and rising tensions. Government claims to have been supporting Kurdish military, but PYD denies any ties to the government

After Western powers suspected that the Syrian government used chemical weapons against the Syrian people, tensions grew against them and Russia, China, and Syria. The Eastern Powers believe that Western powers are overstepping their bounds for their need of power but the Western powers think that they need to interfere to help the people. 

Though many of the youth leaders who participated in the 2011 revolution are in prison, youth-driven political campaigns will continue under President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. A new movement that has risen, called the "We have had enough" campaign has several demands from the Egyptian youth. These include holding accountable anyone who was involved in killing any Egyptian, a debate about implementing separation of powers, setting minimum and maximum wages, and amending the protest law. These demands have led the state to release some of the prisoners of conscience, in an attempt to prevent any chaos before parliamentary elections. A similar movement, called the Dhank movement, arose in protest of the living conditions for the poorest Egyptians. The leaders of this movement encourage protests like refusing to pay electric bills because of a lack of service. The activists describe the need for the Dhank movement coming from Sisi's poor treatment of the lower class that included removal of subsidies and raising prices of commodities. The "We have had enough" campaign spokesman says they insist on the implementation of 14 human rights amendments. He ends by reiterating the consistent suspicion the youth groups have of the state and a lack of confidence that their demands will be met. This shows that there is no clear strategy or realistic possibility to ending the tension between youth groups and the state.

This is a report published on November 6, 2014 by the International Crisis Group about the current peace talks between Turkey's President Ergodan and leaders of the PKK. It discusses how after decades of conflict which cost tens of thousands of people their lives, neither Turkey nor the PKK believe that military victory is possible, and are meeting to discuss a peaceful resolution. However, the events in Syria has reignited ever-present tensions between the two groups, and a fruitful compromise between them is seeming less likely. In this report, the International Crisis Group details the parameters of a possible peace deal, and states that differences need to be put aside so that basic issues like "transitional justice, disarmament and decentralization" can be resolved.

Tensions are rising even higher as the Syrian government take actions to regain the crossing to Jordan. This crossing was lost to the rebels not long ago and has closed an important crossing. 

Hamas and the Palestinian Authority are not seeing eye-to-eye. Although they are the majority party, they are still a separate terrorist NGO that aims to end Israel as a whole.

Tensions between the two Libyan government factions increase after Prime Minister Thini suggested that his internationally recognized government would sell Libyan oil independently. Thini rival, Ismail Shikri, promised military action if Thini follows through.

Since the Turks shot down the Russian jet, there has been tension between the two countries. Now Russian men are searching for the gunman in Syria.

Feb. 2, the United States Congress rejected the Iran nuclear accord despite efforts Iran has made to decrease the size of its program. This rejection is creating a large amount or tension between the U.S. and Iran.

Upwards of 70,000 Syrian refugees move into Turkey as violence in the country increases. Russian airstrikes are helping Syria's government troops advance as Russia warns of a Turkish invasion into Syria-- continuing the tension between Turkey and Russia since the shooting down of a Russian fighter yet last year.

The affects that the tensions and terrorist attacks has on the tourism industry in Egypt are touched on in this article. The particular incident that happened about a month ago is mentioned in great detail, including the involvement of the Muslim Brotherhood and what that means in regards to moving forward.

Russia-Iran alliance has been an ongoing issue and is not as strong as it has been previously made out to be. Economic and militant relations are limited and at times are more competitive with one another than they should be. Serve as threats to each other and there is a lot of tension between the two.

This article, released on February 19th, details Turkey's attack on Kurdish targets post Ankara bombing. Heightened tensions between the Turks and the Kurds after a car bombing in Ankara killed 28 people. The YPG, a Syrian Kurdish group denied the accusations of involvement.
