I found this website and thought it was a really cool thing. It has different tabs that give information about events being held, useful resources, and more. Check it out!

This is a bit dense in vocabulary since it's a philosophical piece, but it's very informative about the ways philosophy has suppressed the deaf by having inaccurate assumptions of what the deaf experience is like. The author aims to dispel those assumptions. Requires some mental yoga.

A deaf man by the name of Joel Barish travels to view the lives of deaf people all around the world.

This is website shows Mexican Sign Language. There is a youtube video that has a guy demonstrating some signs and there is a link above the video with a Mexican Sign Language dictionary. I thought it was really cool so check it out!

According to this site, worldwide, there around 20 million deaf children, 80% of whom live in developing countries. In India alone, there are 3 million deaf children. This org is an international development arm of the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). This side provides info on their outreach in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. It's eye opening to read about deaf issues from an international perspective. Example: the UN's Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Article 23 gives children with disabilities equal rights with respect to family life and states that children should not be separated from his or her parents on the basis of a disability. Interesting view into how other cultures approach deafness.

This websites is also known as RAD. It is known as the group on english royals that are deaf. They provide employment, and youth services. Something neat to read for sure
