Discusses what I was talking about in my discussion question for Week 13 concerning prosecuting the SHARERS/SEEDERS instead of the DOWNLOADERS/LEECHERS.

Article about how sexting got teenagers in trouble. Then DA tried to force them to take a class about sexting but when they refused, they sued the DA because the DA was questioning the parenting of the parents. Very good article.

Good reference for those writing about illegal downloads

This link is to an article that discusses the effects of the Internet of globalization, I am taking an on campus course about International relations and found this to be interesting. Technology, specifically the Internet allows us to communicate so much information at a more effecient speed.

Here is an article based on the Pew survey about teens and texting.

I was blown away that this was the name of a persons blog. It literally only talks about things "white people" like and do... really shows how blogs can sometimes have a negative affect on society.

Added this site to one of the other students' phase one, second paper topic thread.. thought it was overall interesting because it shows the procedures that photo websites like photobbucket have to go through with copyrighting material

Thought some of the stats they found on those who think music downloading should be legal/illegal was interesting and relevent to our topic

Article discusses how the RIAA is issuing letters to suspected copyright infringing music downloaders and sharers and asking them to turn themselves in and pay a reduced fine, which will still be in the thousands of dollars, or else they will sue them for all they have or might ever have. Lawyer from University of Southern California talks about how letters are actually just "cease and desist letters" and that suspected offenders might not want to turn themselves in because the RIAA might not be able to find out their identities otherwise since many schools ISP's are not keeping track of or releasing students' names, personally identifiable IP addresses, or other information.
