Spezify is a search tool presenting results from a large number of websites in different visual ways. We take web search further, away from endless lists of blue text links and towards a more intuitive experience. We want you to get a good overview of a subject, find useful information and be inspired with Spezify. We mix all media types and make no difference between blogs, videos, microblogs and images. Everything communicates and helps building the bigger picture.

The 21st Century Learners Project is sponsored by the Alabama Best Practices Center in Montgomery, Alabama. This project consists of teams of teachers from across the state who spend time learning about Web 2.0 tools and how to incorporate these tools into the curriculum. Teachers are also exposed to how these tools build learning skills in students. Teachers also focus on how to use student-centered, inquiry-driven approaches in instruction. This wiki is designed to be a resource for teachers who want to learn more about Web 2.0 tools, project based learning, and constructivist teaching. For some this will be an introduction and for others a refresher, but our hope is that you will start to see how technology can transform your teaching and engage your students.

Free mind mapping (and related types) software - Wikit - 1 views

  •
Mind-mapping.org has a good capability for selecting software by map type and operating system (click on the 'Refine software list' tab at the top right of its web page), and shows the price. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow you to filter on price or choose to see only the free ones. This article is therefore a quick list to current software that is free or has a free option. It excludes applications that have a time limit on their operation, for example, free trial software or web applications.

Listen Button What is RSS? RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. It's a computer protocol for distributing news headlines and articles on the Web. This is a method by which Web content can be distributed automatically to subscribers each time they are refreshed. This allows users to subscribe to content and then view it on an RSS reader, which aggregates the latest feeds in a single application without revisiting each individual Website. Odiogo takes an existing textual RSS feed and creates a new one, identical to the original one, enriched with an audio file for each piece of content. RSS feeds can be viewed and listened to with RSS readers such as FeedDemon, or FeedReader or through personalized Homepage/RSS reader services such as My Yahoo!, Netvibes or Pageflakes. With an MP3 player or an iPod one would use podcast management tools such as Apple's iTunes or iPodder.
