I always add a little extra vanilla!

VERY ripe bananas work best.  I always use the very brown ones I have put in my freezer for just this occasion!

Instead of meat, add vegan meatballs or soy substitute. Meat substitute may also be left out entirely. If extra substance is needed, add cooked lentils instead of meat or meat substitute.

Instead of grating ginger, put in tea ball and soak in lentils as they boil for fuller flavor.

Add one scoop of cream cheese to lentil and spinach mixture and stir until well mixed to add extra savory flavor.

Add chopped plum tomatoes or sun-dried tomatoes.
