Sqworl is an online bookmarking tool that saves a screen capture of each page you bookmark. To help you organize your bookmarks, you can create multiple groups of bookmarks in your Sqworl account. Should you choose to share your bookmarks you can share one or all of your bookmarks groups via the unique urls Sqworl assigns to each group.

Doesn't really talk about the actual tool as much as make some comparisons to other web 2.0 tools and discuss why Diigo is more of an innovation.

Been a fan of this site for a while and didn't realize I hadn't bookmarked it yet. Instead of arranging photos in a traditional album,Synth finds relationships among pictures and digitally composites them to create a 3-D experience. Awesome!

Blackboard is finally taking their scholar function public. Bookmarking for research/instructional purposes i.e. Diigo and Delicious. Good funtionality- notes, highlighting, sharing, groups, tag clouds for classroom sharing. Blackboard kills me, they have huge market share and are just now realizing this would be a good tool, ug. Have to recognize it because so many colleges, high schools have access to it.

I've bookmarked and suggested Googlelit Trips multiple times, and I keep coming back to this tool as a great way of engaging students, helping make connections, creating a multi-media experience for students to develop their reading comprehension skills, as well as, provide opportunities to extend their knowledge.

Prezi is a way cool (that's a high level technology term) presentation tool that I'm playing with. Here is an example that a student did for an honors physics class that I came across. I've bookmarked some other stuff this teacher has done, she is AMAZING! I haven't introduced Prezi yet because I don't think most teachers are ready for it, but I think this is a great example of rigor and cool.

Thought it was an interesting site on English composition that might be useful to someone in ELA. I liked the first activity on the post bookmarked, so I chose to send that particular post.

A dowloadable desktop application, centered around open source model, haven't downloaded and played with it. Am just bookmarking it for later development. They have apps for math, science, language, geography and some misc.

We introduced Diigo to WJHS this summer and I thought I would pass this news along to everyone, but especially that group. I still think Diigo is an incredible tool for collaboration in the classroom for research, group work/accountability, formative assessment, reaching beyond classroom walls both with students and colleagues. Additionally, Sean does some nice simple video production (with totally FREE tools) that I want to share with other teachers. It's easy to do, is a way of getting information to your students easily and in a manner that allows them to access the information as many times as they like/need.

Uses for Diigo as a classroom research tool.

Great presentation tool Integrates well with Diigo.

An idea that can be used to contribute to professional learning or for use with your students- Create a collaborative book online. The topic in this case is another way to explore/discover uses for twitter in education. Learn to take advantage of the things students are doing, teach them how to do things responsibly online, share your content, etc.

Creates a graphic of words based on several criteria, can be used to create a graphic of vocabulary from a chapter or a graphic of tags from a class delicious account. Not an end all site, but great way for students/teachers to present a list of topics in a unique way during a presentation. I can see using this to help create a word wall activity using the interactive whiteboard.
