    Jon Voss is founder of LookBackMaps, an innovative public history project that is one of many new mashups in the field of historical and cultural heritage websites. He also runs jumpSLIDE networks, a small IT consultancy in San Francisco. Voss has been managing IT projects for non-profits and small to medium businesses in the Bay Area for the last ten years. His work on mapping historical photos stems from a love of history and a chance run-in with a band of privy diggers who excavated the hole of an 1870's outhouse in his back yard in SF's Mission district.

  •   Salesforce's new mashups will deliver full componentization of its analytical dashboards - enabling users to create, share, and combine data components. Essentially this means that customers can pick and choose the best analytical components from a variety of vendors; combining them into a single view on their salesforce dashboard. Salesforce is hoping that lots of new components will be created and shared on their AppExchange.

  • It’s instant messaging with a group. You post a short message via IM, web or other utility (see below) and other Twitterers who are “following” you will see your message. Some have called Twitter a form of microblogging
  • You can add your friends cell phone numbers by sending an IM to the twitter@twitter.com contact and typing: add CELLNUMBER (where CELLNUMBER is their number)

  • The search box is your friend, use it. Also, don’t be shy about bouncing around and looking at who’s following who.
  • Habit Two: Put it where you want it In it’s most basic form, Twitter is a webpage with a text box where you can enter a little message.
