  To prevent / deter spam, I would like to bring this group setting option to your attention:
  
  Instead of a public group opens to anyone, you may wish to set "who can join" to a "moderated" setting, which means that one needs to apply / request to be admitted to a group. You can change the setting in "Group Admin" > > Group Overview > > Who can join (Apply to join -- moderator approval required or By invitation only)
  
  Your group is a great valuable resource for other educators, and we'd love to assist you to keep its high content quality. Ultimately the group owner and group members have the "responsibilities" to actively monitor, control the content (actively remove inappropriate ones), etc. Group manager also has many group settings (such giving more trusted group members "moderator" status...)
