The 2013 edition of World Development Indicators (WDI) has just been released. WDI 2013 provides a new look to high-quality cross-country comparable statistics about development and people's lives around the globe. All the new features of the WDI suite of products can be accessed from data.worldbank.org/wdi, and include: *New online tables with all the data tables , will be automatically updated when the database is updated four times a year, and can be accessed in web browsers or downloaded as PDF files *An improved WDI "DataFinder" application available in English, Spanish, French and Chinese, in tablet and mobile phone editions for both Android and iOS. The full text of the printed book is also included. *An update to the WDI database, including improved notes and metadata "about the data" from the printed book, explaining the relevance of the indicators for development, their source, and their methodology. *An updated version of the Little Data Book 2013

Global Peace Index (GPI) report analyses the state of peace around the world, identifying trends in violence and conflict, as well as the key drivers of peace. Interactive mapportal showing the situation between 2008-2013, filtering on country and all underlaying indicators

This map is updated monthly and was last updated March 2013. This map service is designed to be used as a basemap and as a reference map. The map service includes administrative boundaries, cities, water features, physiographic features, parks, landmarks, highways, roads, railways, airports, and buildings overlaid on land cover and shaded relief for added context.

"The Logistics Capacity Assessment (LCA) is a long-standing tool of WFP Logistics. Since 2008, it has provided important logistics information relevant to Logistics Cluster partners and the Humanitarian Community and is shared as an interagency tool via the Logistics Cluster website. In 2013, the Logistics Cluster took the initiative to improve the user-friendliness of the LCA by moving it to a new, wiki based format which offers significant benefits. These include incorporating real time updates and easy exports of individual sections in multiple formats. The Index for Risk Management (InfoRM) initiative began in October 2012 as a convergence of interests of United Nations agencies, humanitarian donors and the European Commission to establish a common evidence-base for global humanitarian risk analysis. A concept was developed by a core group of agencies and presented publicly at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in May 2013. The aim of the initiative is to publish and manage a humanitarian risk index as an open resource for use by actors engaged in resilience, emergency preparedness, disaster management and humanitarian response.

The Humanitarian Kiosk (HKiosk) application provides a range of up-to-the-minute humanitarian related information from emergencies around the world. The application has multiple independant kiosks which reflect locations where UN-OCHA operates or there is an ongoing international humanitarian emergency

In 2008 CCOE published its first publication on gender: 'Gender Makes Sense: A Way to Improve Your Mission' This publication has been re-written ; the new 2nd edition is now available. The aim of this CCOE publication is: To create a thorough understanding of gender for the operational and tactical level in order to be more successful in military operations; To stimulate the military stakeholders to become more knowledgeable on gender; To provide our civilian partners with awareness regarding the military approach towards gender; To provide CIMIC personnel with a useful tool to improve their day-to-day work
