I find these kind of tools very successful in the classroom, and I think further researching them is very important. Made by the educational resource company "Ignite! Learning."

I think this video is a good technology tool to incorporate in U.S. History. Personally, history is one of my least favorite subjects because it is so boring! When learning about history there are so many historical figures and dates that it is almost impossible for students to remember all the material being presented. Therefore, as educators we must attempt to make learning enjoyable. Learning should consist of a variety of resources to enhance rentention of the information. I think this is definitely a video the students will remember!

This article list an important fact about how many actuall "full ride scholarships" are given out. Even though it does not state much of the academic side it states a very true and important fact.

This is interesting because my daughter is college age and so are my nieces, they would find this interesting.

oh wow! This is really interesting. I tried to get a track scholarship to Sam Houston in 2006. When I realized that would be almost impossible I just decided to be a regular student. I find that when you are in high school it is more common to see college scouts looking more for the boys. I am glad to see, according to this article, that more females are being offered full rides to college. This is awesome!

While this article focuses on how librarians feel about and deal with the complexities of copyright and fair use rules, I find it relevant and valuable for classroom teachers too. Fear of plagiarism and copyright infringement in our classrooms is real, and can restrain us from implementing resources just as much as it can librarians.

I love quizlet! These teacher- OR student-made online study guides allow students to access material and information anywhere with internet connection. And its use of different methods--flash cards-matching-GAMES!-quizzes--ensures all learning styles are addressed. This article (a thesis) studies and advises on the use of Quizlets.

Interesting idea for convenient and smart teaching!

This article contains an example of an innovative teacher tackling a complex issue in a way students will love and remember. That is, she turned a potentially tedious lesson on copyright and fair use rules into an opportunity for students to create scripts, lines, and act out their understanding of the subject!

This is an article written by Mary Ann Corley about differentiated instruction and the techniques used to implement it. This article also discussed the challenges that educators face when using differentiated instruction.

I enjoyed this article a great deal. I think that it is important for educators to learn more about differentiated instruction. I like how the article said that "teachers need to plan their lessons to adjust to the learners". This is becoming even more true with today's students. The tips list provided has some very good suggestions. One tip that jumped out to me was having student portfolios. This relates to one of my research topics, interactive notebooks.

This is a chart of Copyright and Fair Use policy which explains very easily what is and is not acceptable.

This article can benefit anyone who is an educator. We will all have students in our classroom with a disability and this article gives way to vary instruction and incorporate ways to make sure the student is learning the same as any other student. Reading IEPs thoroughly and knowing ways to modify curriculum for the student with disability is key.

The competition for ebooks and ereaders is intense and it is not getting to be more civil anytime soon.

I suppose now that ebooks are going mainstream, this will catapult lawyers and educators into more fair use and copyright issues.
