The Believer's New Clothes « Reflections in the WORD - 0 views

  •
Our clothing consists of hearts that are tender and filled with compassion displaying mercy; human-kindness that overflows to meet the needs of others; a humble preference to put others first; a meek, spirit-controlled temperament; and the willingness to go the distance with others without complaint-these are the new clothes.

Power of life by spiritual way - 0 views

  •
A successful man needs three types of power physical, mental and spiritual. There are lots of ways to get mental and physical power but what about Spiritual power? How one could get spiritual power? There are lot of ways mentioned in our Vedas like Dhyan, kendar, sadhna but in today's hectic life nobody have enough time to do such practises so the option left is of wearing gemstones, malas and rudrakshas. There are lot of products like Ardhanareshwar Mala, Brahmaghayan Mala,Saturn Siddha Mala etc. But the questions arise that what kind of benefits one can get from wearing which mala. For ex. Ardhanareshwar Mala is most useful for wanting harmony and unity as well as invokes great friendship with others. It is highly recommended for husband and wife wanting a harmonized relationship. Finding time - Sunset.com - 3 views

No one needs to watch the news every night, unless one is married to the anchor. No one dies proud that they spent their life keeping their house cleaner than anyone else in the family ... If your children grow up to become adults who spend this one precious life in a spin of multitasking, stress, and achievement, and then work out four times a week, will you be pleased that your kids also pursued this kind of whirlwind life? If you want more for your kids (lives well spent in hard work and savoring all that is lovely), why are you living in this manic way?

Early Signs of pregnancy | buzitnow - 0 views

  •
Babies are born into a variety of situations and different kinds of families. The baby may be a firstborn or one of many siblings. Some babies have one parent, others have two. Some are born into traditional nuclear families, others into stepfamilies. Some pregnancies are carefully planned, while others may come as quite a surprise. This booklet contains information on pregnancy, birth and parenting. It also gives advice on how to take care of your baby and where you can find help and support. In addition to this guide, your local prenatal and child health clinics are there on-hand to offer support and advice on good parenting. For further assistance, you can also contact your maternity hospital, as well as the many other organisations mentioned in this booklet that are dedicated to child and family support. We hope that this booklet will be a useful guide in the preparations for a new addition to your family

  • evangelism at the centre of the fully-integrated scope of all our mission, inasmuch as the gospel itself is the source, content and authority of all biblically-valid mission
  • Oral cultures The majority of the world’s population are oral communicators, who cannot or do not learn through literate means, and more than half of them are among the unreached as defined above. Among these, there are an estimated 350 million people without a single verse of Scripture in their language. In addition to the ‘primary oral learners’ there are many ‘secondary oral learners’, that is those who are technically literate but prefer now to communicate in an oral manner, with the rise of visual learning and the dominance of images in communication.
  • Christ-centred leaders
  • only those whose lives already display basic qualities of mature discipleship should be appointed to leadership
  • Leaders must first be disciples of Christ himself
  • authentic Christian leaders must be like Christ in having a servant heart, humility, integrity, purity, lack of greed, prayerfulness, dependence on God’s Spirit, and a deep love for people
  • ability to teach God’s Word to God’s people
  • long-term work of teaching and nurturing new believers
  • long that God would multiply, protect and encourage leaders who are biblically faithful and obedient

  • Half the world now lives in cities. Cities are where four major kinds of people are most to be found: (i) the next generation of young people; (ii) the most unreached peoples who have migrated; (iii) the culture shapers; (iv) the poorest of the poor
  • All children are at risk. There are about two billion children in our world, and half of them are at risk from poverty. Millions are at risk from prosperity. Children of the wealthy and secure have everything to live with, but nothing to live for.
  • God can and does use children and young people - their prayers, their insights, their words, their initiatives - in changing hearts
  • For God to send labourers into every corner of the world, in the power of his Spirit; For the lost in every people and place to be drawn to God by his Spirit, through the declaration of the truth of the gospel and the demonstration of Christ’s love and power; For God’s glory to be revealed and Christ’s name to be known and praised because of the character, deeds and words of his people. We will cry out for our brothers and sisters who suffer for the name of Christ;  For God’s kingdom to come, that God’s will may be done on earth as in heaven, in the establishment of justice, the stewardship and care of creation, and the blessing of God’s peace in our communities. B)    We will continually give thanks as we see God’s work among the nations, looking forward to the day when the kingdom of this world will become the kingdom of our God and of his Christ.

Relief & Develoment in Africa, NGO Africa, Humanitarian Aid Africa | Iris Global - 0 views

  • When facing great human need with our human frailties, we rapidly reach the limits of our resources, wisdom and love. We face overwhelming poverty, sickness, demonic attacks and every kind of evil. We do not shy away from the poor, the sick, the abused, the abandoned or the despised but, run into the darkness looking to share Christ’s love and power because it is the power of God that gives hope. We have learned that love without power is incomplete and ineffectual; we release God’s love in practical ways infused with His power.

  • Christ's TRUE followers or disciples called themselves "Followers of The Way" or "Those True to The Covenant" (Nazrim ha-Brit), NOT christians.
  • This is directly opposed to the true teaching of Christ who says that YOU must NOT go to church (Matthew 6:5-6 where synagogue means all churches)
    • Adam Skinner

Mat 6:5-6 is talking about prayer, not congregation. He's also talking about the reason that these hypocrites are praying, not where they're praying. By the logic propsed on this site, Christ also says YOU must NOT go to street corners as well. Manifest absurdity.

JFB has this to say on the subject: "Compare Rev_2:14, Rev_2:15, which shows the true sense of Nicolaitanes; they are not a sect, but professing Christians who, like Balaam of old. tried to introduce into the Church a false freedom, that is, licentiousness; "

As the author of this document clearly has a proclivity for. This whole theology is riddled with claims lacking any scriptural basis.
  • Also, if you take the word CONIFER, which is the name given to the family of trees to which the Christmas (Fir) tree belongs, and split the word in two, you get: CON-IFER CON - Satan is known as the biggest con-artist ever. He invented it. IFER - The last half of Lucifer's name. HE'S LAUGHING AT ALL OF US RIGHT NOW!
    • Adam Skinner

This kind of nonsequitor is actually very common in the church at large, and I'm not surprised to find it here. As though the english word for a tree was somehow a mockery for Satan's masterminding the remembrance of the very birth of Jesus Christ. Not to mention that the connection itself is flimsy at best. The author would have done better to simply keep quiet than make such claims.

If the spiritual is more important than the physical, how should we spend our time and effort? If what we do is more important than what we say, how should we approach ministry? If (the ongoing work of) Salvation is more important than miracles, which one do we need to solve our problems?
