Have you ever felt your pulse quicken when you read a book, or your skin go clammy during a horror story? A new student project out of MIT wants to deepen those sensations. They have created a wearable book that uses inexpensive technology and neuroscientific hacking to create a sort of cyberpunk Neverending Story that blurs the line between the bodies of a reader and protagonist.

From 8th January - 22nd March I chose one class, my First Year class (aged 11-12) to give up using exercise books, reading books and textbooks. Instead, they would use only digital mediums that were available to them through an iPad that they were supplied with during each lesson.

Most teenagers do not read books regularly, putting them at risk of missing out on important academic and social benefits linked to reading, a WA study has found.

There is a free iPad app that allows you to scan a book's barcode to add it to your 'to read' list & show review's. May require a private group for students though.

If Wikipedia were made into a book, it would contain over 2.25 MILLION PAGES!! It would take almost 123 years to read and would be around 180 Meters high!!!
