This is a very unique painting site that uses abstract paint brushes to create extremely imaginative and beautiful artwork. One of the things I like best about this site is the ability to save your artwork directly to a "jpg" file.

I'm really addicted to this site that allows you to use your own images to create patterns. This site is very easy to use and the patterns you create can be used as backgrounds. The site has a short video that shows you how easy it is to use Repper and take the pattern that you create and share them or use them in various ways.

A versatile teaching tool! You can teach lots of different number concepts using it. "I've hidden some numbers. Can you work out what they are by looking at the ones that are left? Do you think the numbers are going up in steps of 1, 2 or 5?" "I've made a number pattern. It goes like this ...0,3,6,9. How high can you get carrying this pattern on? Let's check your answers on the number square!"

A versatile counting situation. Add, subtract and compare sets. 'I'm going to put some of these creatures in the sea. Can you count them as I put them in?' 'There are 2 lobsters already. How many will there be if I put 2 more in?' 'What happens if I go really quickly, can you keep up? Now there are lots of them, can you help organise them to make it easier to count?'

The goal of this project is to provide teachers a list of common terms or phrases aimed at improving vocabulary development of students in Tennessee. Although there is no single best way to teach terms and phrases, Dr. Marzano's research and theory on vocabulary development does point to a few generalizations that provide strong guidance. This site is dedicated to the sixth step in that process by providing a collection of games and activities designed to review and strengthen vocabulary development.
