Welcome to Youth Voices | Youth Voices - 1 views

  •
Connect - We invite you to join or log in to our social network for youth voices, where students and teachers work together (see Curriculum and Guides) to create student-to-student conversations and collaborations. We hope that you will make Youth Voices your destination for many different activities in school and out. Comment - Be heard. This is a place for you to engage in discussions. To find something that you may want to comment on: * search with keywords in the search box * choose one of the New/Current Discussions * consider the Popular Discussions, the ones with the most comments * browse by Topics * find posts by members of your school or community groups We encourage you to spend a lot of time writing thoughtful comments back and forth on other students' Discussions. Create - Be known. Show who you are through your creativity and scholarship. At Youth Voices you can post updates many times each day on the microblog, What's up? And you can use your cell phone to post audio. You can also create, revise, and polish three types of Discussions: * audio podcasts * text with embedded media * discussions that begin with videos and VoiceThreads

Our great new comments feature - 6 views

  •
"Comments let you apply notes, questions, or observations to a passage on a wiki page - it's kind of like slapping a Post-it note onto the wiki page. Because they're linked to a specific part of the page, comments show you exactly which words they're about (unlike with an email or discussion post). And because the comments can be revealed or collapsed, they let you look at a page as either as an appreciative audience or a critical editor, depending on your needs."

The Social Media Classroom (we'll call it SMC) includes a free and open-source (Drupal-based) web service that provides teachers and learners with an integrated set of social media that each course can use for its own purposes-integrated forum, blog, comment, wiki, chat, social bookmarking, RSS, microblogging, widgets , and video commenting are the first set of tools. The Classroom also includes curricular material: syllabi, lesson plans, resource repositories, screencasts and videos. The Collaboratory (or Colab), is what we call just the web service part of it. Educators are encouraged to use the Colab and SMB materials freely, and we host your Colab communities if you don't want to install your own.

How has the Internet changed the way we think, these commenters were asked. An interesting collection of comments... one noting: "Today, most people only recognize that they are using the Internet when they are interacting with a computer screen. They are less likely to appreciate when they are using the Internet while talking on the telephone, watching television, or flying on an airplane."

buy soundcloud comments - - 0 views

  •
uy soundcloud comments still, one option is to buy SoundCloud commentary, If you are looking to promote your music on SoundCloud. This can help give your tracks some redundant exposure and get you more listens and likes. There are a many effects to keep in mind when buying SoundCloud commentary. First, make sure that the commentary are from real people and not fake accounts. There are a lot of services out there that will vend you commentary from fake accounts, and these will not do you any good. Alternate, take a look at the quality of thecomments. However, they are not going to be veritably helpful, If they are all general and say the same thing. Look for commentary that are well- written and add commodity to the discussion. Eventually, do not go overboard. A many well- placed commentary can go a long way, but if you start spamming your tracks with hundreds of commentary, it's going to look suspicious and it's not going to help your cause. still, buying SoundCloud commentary can be a great way to promote your music and get further listeners, If you keep these effects in mind. Overall, buying Soundcloud commentary is a good way to increase your plays and get your music heard by further people. It's a quick and easy way to give yourself a boost, and it's fairly affordable. Just be sure to buy commentary from a estimable source, and do not go overboard- a many hundred commentary should be aplenty to get you started.

Experience with facilitating professional development and TurnItIn - 1 views

  •
In an environment where global economy, global collaboration, and global 'knowledge' are  the aspiration of many countries, the understanding of the complexities of plagiarism becomes  a global requirement that needs to be addressed by all educators and learners. This paper  considers a simple definition of plagiarism, and then briefly considers reasons why students  plagiarise. At Unitec NZ, Te Puna Ako: The Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovation  (TPA:CTLI) is working closely with faculty, managers, student support services and library  personnel to introduce strategies and tools that can be integrated into programmes and  curricula whilst remaining flexible enough to be tailored for specific learners. The authors  therefore provide an overview of one of the tools available to check student work for  plagiarism - Turnitin - and describe the academic Professional Development (PD)  approaches that have been put in place to share existing expertise, as well as help staff at  Unitec NZ to use the tool in pedagogically informed ways, which also assist students in its  use. Evaluation and results are considered, before concluding with some recommendations. It  goes on to theorise how blended programmes that fully integrate academic literacy skills and  conventions might be used to positively scaffold students in the avoidance of plagiarism.  Conference participants will be asked to comment on and discuss their institutions' approach  to supporting the avoidance of plagiarism (including the utilisation of PDS and other  deterrents), describe their own personal experiences, and relate the strategies they employ in  their teaching practice and assessment design to help their learners avoid plagiarism. It is  planned to record the session so that the audience's narratives can be shared with other  practitioners.

Instead of emailing different versions of a document back and forth you can now all comment on a single read-only copy online. Unlike online word processors, the document is displayed in high quality with fonts and layout just like the printed version. It is easy to use and runs in all common web browsers, with no software or plugins to install. "

This site provides the tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period by placing items in a virtual box. What items, for example, would you put in a box to describe your life; the life of a Victorian Servant or Roman soldier; or to show that slavery was wrong and unnecessary? You can display anything from a text file to a movie. You can also view and comment on the museum boxes submitted by others.
